Core Team

Angela Drover (Donation Procurement & Silent Auction) - Angela joined Hearts in 2014 and will be managing all aspects of our silent auction.

Candice Wood (Event Production, Guest Registration & Website) - Candice worked with Hearts in 2006/2007 and returned in 2012.  Candice is responsible for managing our website and coordinating guest registration.  Candice is also responsible for behind the scenes activities that are required to create our spectacular events.

Jacquie Platten (On-site Fundraising) - Jacquie joined Hearts in 2014 to assist with procurement of items for donation and to manage our exciting on-site fundraising initiatives.

Julie Dunn (Print Coordinator, Live Auction & Volunteers) - Julie joined Hearts in 2009 and is in charge of coordinating all of our print materials, as well as our many volunteers. Julie will also be organizing our spectacular live auction packages.

Leslie McLean (Event Decor) – Leslie is a founding member of Hearts and is responsible for behind the scenes activities that are required to create our spectacular events. Leslie works with our decor partners to create a beautifully themed event.

Nikki Jones (Graphic Design) – Nikki joined Hearts in 2014 and will be managing all of our graphic design requirements.

Rebecca O'Connor (Marketing and Event Decor) – Rebecca recently joined Hearts in 2014 and will be our marketing coordinator, ensuring the best promotional opportunities for Hearts of Durham and our supporters.  Rebecca will also be assisting with event decor.

Roxanne Serra (Social Media, Sponsorships & Budget) – Roxanne joined Hearts in 2011 as a Wishmaker and as a team member in 2012.  Roxanne oversees all of the social media for Hearts, as well as overseeing our sponsorship opportunities and relationships. Roxanne will also be working closely with ALS Canada to manage our event budget.

Sian Gibson (Event Logistics) – Sian is a founding member of Hearts who, after taking a brief hiatus, has rejoined our team to manage all logistical aspects of our events to ensure that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
