Did you know that thousands of local people rely on food banks and soup kitchens to get the food necessary to sustain life?  Feed the Need Durham is a non-profit charitable organization that is fighting to end hunger in Durham Region by improving the collection and distribution of food to emergency food providers.   Hearts of Durham, an inspiring volunteer group in our community, have chosen Feed the Need as their beneficiary charity in 2010.  On April 17th, Hearts of Durham will hold its fifth annual gala, the Bee's Knees Benefit, supporting Feed the Need Durham.  It's going to be an incredible night with a fabulous roaring 20's theme - gourmet dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions and much more!  How can you participate?  Hearts of Durham is looking for event sponsors, donations of goods and services for the auctions, swag bags and their signature balloon pop as well as cash donations.   Why should you get involved?  Because you will be supporting a fabulous cause while raising your company profile, giving you excellent exposure, promotion of your business and the feeling that comes with giving back to the community!  To date, Hearts of Durham have raised over $206,000 for organizations like Feed the Need.  This year, why not partner with them in the fight against hunger?   For more information contact Dana Baltovich at 905-655-0651 or visit http://www.heartsofdurham.com.
